This program works to ensure that group care facilities in Baker County meet minimum health and safety standards. In order to minimize the risk of transmitting disease and injury among the residents, employees, and visitors to these establishments, the Florida Department of Health in Baker County inspects the physical layout, operation, and maintenance of a broad category of facilities.
These facilities may include public or private schools, assisted living facilities, adult family care homes, short-term residential treatment centers, residential treatment facilities, homes for special services, transitional living facilities, crisis stabilization units, and intermediate care facilities for people with developmental disabilities.
